I know Mandriva but not the newest one so I was surprised because I felt that well with Mandriva that I couldn't imagine.
I think I will have to try out myself to see if also I will be disapointed

Since I like having more than one girl give me a table dance in a topless bar. I like trying out more than a few distros to pick my Fav. 10 or more. I like diversity.

I've tried too many (been tinkering with Linux since 1999 or 2000) and I have still not decided whats right for me because my needs seem to change a lot.

Clearly, the majority have tried 10 or more before finding the right distro for them, but having found it, that can always change and you have to go on the hunt again unless you've made up your mind to use a certain distribution, no matter what. I don't think many of us are willing to do that.

I've been on Arch for almost 5 years now after having tried out at least 50 to 60 different distros and while I do still try other distros occasionally, I've seen no reason with any of them to reconsider my position with Arch.

May you all have such good luck with your search for the right distro for you!

i started by installing xubuntu on a ( broken ) dell laptop, that experience got me over the fear of messing with bios, to set the boot order and all that ( not a tech guy at all ) and after xubunutu ran so good on that old dell comp, I installed ubunutu 8 on my other desktop, which has been a little over a year ago, and i love ubunutu, it does everything i need.

I have currently settled on Gentoo, but I keep my eyes peeled for the next hot thing to parade around in front of me.
