All your browser are belong to us

And then you need to edit the register to remove it. The register! If you need to rid yourself of any illusion that a proprietary Operating System is easier or more user friendly than an Open Source Operating System, well then just go ahead and edit the register

I wonder what the legal position is here. The Mozilla license is much stricter than gpl; you aren't allowed to modify a program like firefox and then distribute it under the original name (that's why Debian forked off the "ice" suite).

Now admittedly, Microsoft haven't modified actual code, they've just created a plugin, but it drastically changes the way firefox works. I'd call that a modification. And as Microsoft have done it and then passed it on to the users, it's a distributed modification.

Also it sabotages firefox's security so they are passing off as an original Mozilla program something calculated to impugn Mozilla's good name.

If I were on the board of mozilla.org, I'd be calling for a lawyer!
