Smile A New Cause in Life

Hello to all, I am Ms. Jeeves. I switched to linux because I was bored with using windows and wanted to try something new. So I was convinced to use Linux. The first OS I was introduced to that uses linux is Backtrack 4. Quite an excruciating experience if you ask me on being introduced to Linux. I have to say though I do have a good teacher. My biggest suggestion to those who are new actually sit down and read the Linux Bible. I thank my local library for being equipped with it. No dust on the book and brand new like it just been bought : ) Some of you will appreciate the irony in that thought. Anyways, I have come to like linux very much, and have since taken up using Ubuntu while still learning security network from back track and from my very mean but good teacher. So now that you know why I switched here is my dilemma, I being new managed to break my firefox browser from using to many killall commands in the shell, using it to many times corrupts the firefox files. So I got the idea that while I was searching for a way to fix this I would copy down what I was looking for, what I was doing, why and so forth, before I knew it I had instructions and they worked. For me especially being a girl it was like putting a recipe together and then walaa beautiful cake, lol. Anyways, I would like to submit to the linux forum my notes for review and see if you will post them for others to use. Thank you

    Ms. Jeeves

Hi, and welcome aboard. But please be advised that chatting in the coffee lounge does not count as working hours and therefore not increase the posting counter.
