    Living with my girlfriend for over four years now.

    I'm pretty sure we're in the dictionary under "hopeless romantic". She thinks programmers are cute too, although she has come to realise when I say "you don't want to know" she *really* doesn't want to know.

    My wife actually didn't think programmers were cute when we first dated. She'd had a bad experience with one and was leery about my profession because of it. She apparently got over it or she wouldn't have married me.

    @Jayd in which way? There must be something that makes her have doubts about you- and it may actually be a wrong impression. Did you get to identify that?
