Happily single. Never wanted to be anything else. (What is this thing called love?)

My Compliments on 32 years of marriage. Like Hazel I'm single!! Come to think of it four years is about my limit for " togetherness "!!

Relationships are nice but complicated. Being single is much easier!!

    one word: Single
    ;-\

Owner of a lonely heart.. much better than a owner of a broken heart. :P j/k

My heart seems to be behind a firewall that can't be breached.. and has some exotic permissions set on it.

I'm not allowed to date yet (I'm only 13), but I'm old enough to flirt, lol. Right now I have my heart set on an awesomely cute boy, but he's the only boy in dance class and there's a lot of competition for him, lol. I think he likes all the attention, not that I blame him, but it would be wonderful to "claim" him as my boyfriend! One big advantage I have is that I'm a Linux girl (he's the one who "converted" me), so that narrows the competition down to me and two others. I'm probably too young for him though. Why oh why must I be so attracted to older guys?! <3

I never understood this "to young to date" attitude. I can understand someone being to young to date older guys but dating people of a similar age seems reasonable to me. Is it just an American thing?

Then again isn't the UK the teenage pregnancy rate in the UK the highest in Europe? If so maybe we'ree the ones with the wrong attitude

A lot of American parents (fathers, mostly) have rules about when their children (daughters, mostly) are allowed to date, even within their age group. I've heard of some strict fathers who make the age 18 or 21 but the norm is probably 15 or 16.

And I voted for the "significant other for > 6 months" option. My girlfriend and I have been dating for about a year and a half.
