    How can Palm make a property OS using the Linux Kernel? I thought that doing that would violates the GPL. Well if someone could explain how they can do this I would like to know.

    I think that the source is/will be available, as is Android. In any case, the Linux kernel is licenses under the GPL v2, so while mods to the kernel have to be made available, the rest of the system does not.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    I would think they just need to release source code for the kernel, but anything else that was developed by them that just runs on top of the kernel can be covered by another license. I don't think they will release their OS' source code.
