What was your strangest dream, ever?

Have any of you ever had any really weird dreams that you'd be willing to share?

I had one long ago that has always stuck with me because it seemed so realistic at the time. It goes like this... I found this wooden barrel standing in a corner that looked very much like an old oak whiskey barrel. After walking up to it, I saw that it had a wooden lid on it, so curious about what was in the barrel, I removed the lid. Looking down into the barrel, I saw that it was empty, except that it had one of those soft, cuddly brown teddy bears lying on the very bottom of the barrel, and looking up. I reached into the barrel to fetch the teddy, but just as my hand was about to touch it, the bear's eyes grew bigger and turned blood red and then huge sharp fangs appeared in the bear's opened mouth as it growled at me. The next thing I knew, the bear had grabbed me and was pulling me into the barrel with it.

I woke up at that point with my heart almost throbbing right out of my chest. Needless to say, it wasn't so easy going back to sleep.

Anyone else with anything weird to report?

Don't take this the wrong way, but that's a cool sounding dream. Obviously scary, but that's just right for a horror film.

I wouldn't be able to post my weirdest dream here. I've had some pretty weird ones...

    OK...

I don't often remember dreams but this one from many years ago has stuck so strongly...

I was running across fields divided by hedgerows and I was being chased by something, it was night and the Moon was huge, like it appears in films. No matter how fast I ran whatever was chasing me was almost catching me. I can't describe the fear I was feeling.

I came to a normal wooden ladder in the middle of a huge field, it was standing straight up and I began to climb it. I suppose I'd climbed no more than the height of a two storey house when I arrived on the Moon where a woman was waiting for me.

She was dressed like a Roman noble woman and said "Together we can beat this"

And I woke up completely calm wishing I hadn't woken up so I would know what happened next

Oh and another one where all I remember is a commanding voice saying (and this is spelt like it sounded)

    "Espiritus esarte confligrate immorteum est"
If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

I remember once long time ago having a dream where I actually realized I'm dreaming and I could do pretty much anything. All I did was just fly around for a while and woke up quite soon. Too bad this haven't happened more than once.

I also remember some rather disturbing dreams from my childhood.
One took place in a forest close to my home. I was there helping my parents with cutting firewood when suddenly I saw a bear behind my parents. It attacked my parents and then started chasing me. At this point I woke up. Took me months before I could go in to that forest again.

Another one rather disturbing dream from time when I was around 14 goes like this:
I wake up in my home and hear a baby crying some where in the room I'm in. It's quite dark. I get up and try to find where this sound is comming. Soon I realize I'm alone in the room (at that time I shared the room with 2 of my brothers but in this dream they are gone somewhere). I also find that the sound of crying baby is comming from an empty corner, there's nothing there I can see that could make the sound. At that instant I feel something grab me and lift me in the air. But there's no one, just an invisible force. The sound of crying baby stops and the force carries me to sofa next to one wall of the room and places me lie on the sofa on my back my head reaching over the other end of the sofa. After this the sound of crying baby starts again but now it is rigth under my head on the floor at the end of the sofa and I can feel that there is something there right behind my head. I feel my head is realy vulnerable hanging there in the air over who knows what and I realy want to pull my head away but I'm too afraid to move. After a while I realy woke up and didn't sleep that nigth anymore.

When I was about 6 or so, I dreamt I was being chased by a wolf. I finally ran into the house and trapped it's head in the doorjamb. It was still snarling and snapping at me and I pushed harder on the door. The wolf's head was cut off by the door and it flew at me. At that point I woke up on the floor, with my head bleeding. I had fallen out of the top bed in a set of bunk beds, I guess when I tried to evade the wolf.

Hiking on cliffs. Then Sliding down a 1000 ft straight drop without losing my balance. Then going into a Cave/Tunnel in side of mountain. Then I get to a bazaar in the tunnel that opens up to the sky like in Shangrila and Now I am on my motorcycle. I go into the bar at this bazaar and eat and drink all kinds of good food. Topless dancers everywhere. Everything is cool.Come outside and my bike is in pieces/disassembled with parts missing. I wake up in a cold sweat, pissed off about then.

I do not remember just how young I was when I started having dreams of endless falling. It was way before I fell out of a very tall tree. A mystic woman once told me that I eat too much fruit and that the energy of the ripe fruit falling from its tree embeds itself in me when I eat the fruit??

Setup: I think I'd been playing WAAAAY too much Super Mario World before this dream happened.

I was walking through a field when I look behind me and I'm swooped up onto a magic flying carpet with Mario, Luigi, Toad and the Princess. We start flying really fast over the field (which looks more like pool table felt than grass) and below me I see a jack-in-the-box. It pops open and out pops a chimpanzee in a lab coat. In one hand he's holding a canary in a cage and screaming, "They must be destroyed! They must be destroyed!" At that point, I woke up.

Pretty good ones so far.. so here is mine I had a few months back.

So I am getting married and it's the day of the wedding, NO ONE in my family is helping me out in any way I am having to do everything on the day so I am running behind schedule. I see my cousin and try to ask her to do something but she can't hear me as she is busy on the phone and I find out no one can hear me . So i am running around trying to get dressed and get everything in order. When we try to leave the house.. all the cars are gone so I said screw it I'll just jog their. While I am running to Church people are driving up to me and laughing and throwing stuff at me.. so I run faster. Finally when I get to the church.. I realize I don't even know who I am marrying..

I woke up at that point, it was getting too weird for me. I told this to my mom and cousins and they couldn't stop laughing. lol
