Hi From necro61
Hi linux world,
Necro61 is now stalking the linux world after having enough of contrite windows o/s's time to broaden the horizons.
Am total newbie to linux apart from the fact that I am on an ubuntu unit that another geek built at the moment I'd be totaly lost without the mouse...just like a newbie on a windows p.c straight for the mouse... all this dev squid cups and other stuff looks like something I'm going to have to get my teeth into...esp to make it in the modern computing world...since the world of open source is now becoming more main stream.
Nothing too abnormal about me really, apart from my user name thats just an old diablo 2 character name I've been using as a psudo for sometime, and the large scythe i carry around with me...I'm joking about the scythe...no really.
A bit more about me... A few years in a minor I.T support role rebuilds desktop support etc on windows platform, untill today just started my first linux build - sme 7.2. I'll probably have a post / querry about this build anytime soon...

I'm looking forward to meeting "the rest of the linux gang" cause I sure know I'm going to need help
L8r people...

Hi people thanks for the greetings and salutations.
I have viewed the New members link in ozars posting, thanks for that. Would have probably just burned the .iso image in Nero and then wonder why I was having no joy, very good "heads up" on the imaging process.
I personally detest nero, I believe it should be burned at the stake or drowned or whatever they used to do to witches and warlocks in "ye olde days". It caused major havoc / issues with some virtual Cd rom apps Fantom CD, and another one daemon tools on my XP Box..eventually led to rebuild an insidious part of the install "in CD" was every-where and a real pain to get rid of...sometime later on an unrelated search I came across a nero cleaner if anyone runs into this issue on a windows based p.c
Thanks to all the others that took time from there life to say Hello, much appreciated, look forward to your linux support, and eventually contributing myself when my own linux knowledge base is expanded by the help of others....
