I recently reinstalled windows xp in a dual boot so i could play games. After only about 5 weeks using linux mint 7 I couldnt wait to just reinstall my drivers (!) and get the hell back to linux. I nearly had a panic attack when I realised I had only internet explorer and had to use it to get firefox. I've been using firefox as my default browser for about 7 years so anything else just feels....different and wrong.

The cooling fan was going non-stop for nearly the entire time I was using it as opposed to mint where the fan will whizz happily for about 30 seconds on boot up then go completely silent unless i open up more than 3 apps at one time. I figured even a fresh install of windows would run relatively smooth but no such luck.
