I personally abhor 3D games, they have such a boring interface and are so violent. I am sure I am not alone. What kind of games do you like?...

About once a year I'll load up Morrowind; an immersive 3D RPG that is my all-time favorite . I seldom play it to conclusion. Usually I just download some new mods and play til I've satisfied my Morrowind addiction.

I tried EVE Online, and liked it. I'll probably sign up for it once my schedule is more settled. I'd probably buy a copy of Mass Effect if it ran on linux. Sometimes I play a round or two of solitaire or mahjonng before retiring.

Most games I play I don't play on my computer. Sometimes though I load a little first person shooter (AssaultCube) and run around with a shotgun for a while, shooting other online players.

I used to play a lot of flight simulators, both violent and non-violent. And like questio verum I like Morrowind type of games. I destroyed all the fun in Morrowind, when I found out how I could start with all my stats on 100. Cheating takes the fun out of it.

One of the most addictive games I've had was an F-16 simulator. You'd fly an old model F-16 where nothing was automated yet and you'd first have to read the radars manual of ~100 pages. It was terribly complex, pointing the radar, flying through enemy airspace and keeping on target at the same time watching out for everything. And then, after half an hour flight, you'd be shot down without warning by an IR SAM and there was nothing you could do about it. Good times!

I played eve for a while, it is good to start with, but it does tend to get a bit boring if you view it as "I'm paying a monthly fee, so I have to play it to death." Mass Effect has interested me for some time, and I dual boot, so I'd buy it, but it is DRM'd so much, I won't touch it with a 11 foot pole. (my pole goes to 11)

as far as me, I like strategy games the best, both RTS and TBS. RPGs are a favorite of mine, but I haven't found one worth playing since star wars: knights of the old republic 1. I REALLY wanted to like fallout 3 since I'm a die hard fan of the originals, but it was just so ..... disappointing.

I've played and passed Morrowind a couple times. Oblivion, too. I voted for every type of game, because it depends on the game to me, not the type. I don't mind Miniclip, because you can achieve things on it, get awards, etc. I just recently started building up my stats again, after ditching my old sn. I was playing Gears of War and Saint's Row on Xbox 360, but don't feel like I've gotten enough use out of my 360 to make up for the amount of money I paid for it. Played Civilization III for a while. I'd like to get my Miniclip ratings/rankings up.

I'm confused as to why Miniclip's ratings always put me in the 1st position for United States, and at the bottom for the world.
I've seen it's true of other players, also.

I checked all of the above except shooters. Not really a fan of them. I am also a fan of the Elder Scrolls series.

Half-Life and all its mods under wine. Also StarCraft and occasionally Trespasser.

I'm a real time strategy zealot. C&C, Starcraft, Rome and Shogun Total War and last but not least Dawn of War, the best RTS EVER! Just a shame that many of those dont work on linux.

I also have a soft spot for Unreal Tournament, Dungeon Keeper and Worms.
