Hi all. I have come over from the dark side after 15 years.
Hi all. New Linux user here. I'm currently using Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit on a old Dell computer that I had in the basement and I really love it. If it weren't for my wife insisting on having Windows on the new computer it would be running Linux too. She uses all Microsoft software at work and occasionally has to bring her work home. I have a bunch of parts on the way from New Egg so I can have a nice new and fast Linux box for my use. Just wanted to say hi and I'm sure that I will be around begging for help in short order.

Thank you all for your welcome. I am planning on using Fedora 11 64 bit when I load up the new box. I will be running a motherboard with the 790x chipset and 750sb, 8 GB of ram and a Nvidia 9500GT video card. Thoughts? Are there problems in my near future?

Welcome. That seems like it will be a nice box. There might be a couple of configuration problems, but I'm sure they will be minor. The hardware seems to be well supported.
