Are you sure that's right? I have two dates on mine (UK license) - 1 on the back which is 2056 which is when I have to retake my driving test but there is also another on the front which is only 2014 (part 4b on mine), the renewal date

Mine is similar to yours. My licence expires Dec 2010, but I don't have to retake the test till 2049. I'll be about 69.

I have to renew every 5 years. The last time I took a photo, I don't know what was up with the lighting but my face ended up looking completely round. And my neck is completely in the shade so the face just stands out. It's awful!

In my wife's last photo she made the mistake of wearing a top the same color as the background screen. She sort of looks like a floating head. Here in Texas we renew every 5 years, but I don't know if we ever have to retake the test.
