    My Wrong Answers.

I have already posted something wrong, twice. I was not thinking clearly. I can't delete my terrible posts. Twice now, already. I'm not even classified as a newbie yet. I knew better, I don't know what I was thinking.
I can feel them dragging me down to the depths. I'm going to drown in rushed arrogance. It's like waking up hungover and tattooed.

It doesnt matter how you are classified because we all contribute in different ways. Its not a big deal man. Just out of curiosity what bad information did you give?

Someone asked a question about sed, and I used a character class as a number range. I just got done reading the IBM tutorial on sed. Then someone asked about a similar thing, to do with regular expressions, like you use with sed. I got it wrong again. I've used PERL enough with regular expressions, and I was just reading the IBM tutorial on sed. It was still pretty new to me, but I rushed to an answer - and I already had my 15 posts done so I could post links, even. Now they're stuck there for good, and 5 years from now my mistakes will be sitting there. And I didn't even help. It's a bad start.

There are so many posts about sed that not many people will notice. Remember - the more posts you have the less chance people will notice those two

Well you know that's the thing about these forums, they're community driven and all about working together on these things. If no one else has an answer I'd rather someone at least tried to help me than left me hanging. I could be wrong on that but I'd say fair play to you for trying anyway

Yeah, I pretty much ran out of time to edit them by the time I fully realized what I was doing. It's not too serious ... I just decided to be more careful in the future about answering. I personally appreciate when someone at least tries to help, too. Whether asking a question in a forum or using Google, when someone has a little information to throw in it usually helps me to at least get on the right path.

    So, apparently I corrected one.
Now the weight is off my shoulders.
