I haven't run openSUSE since 10.3. Which desktop do you run on it?

I'm using GNOME right now ... I considered downloading the KDE .iso, but I'm more comfortable with GNOME.
I just think it's definitely my favorite so far ... It has the best qualities of Ubuntu and Fedora to me, and is definitely more of what I was aiming for. (Other than one of the harder-to-install distributions.) I thought about burning Slackware or Arch, also. The slackware site was having some sort of troubles, apparently ... and I wasn't really in the mood to go through a long installation process.

Glad to hear you found one you like. That's half the battle.

Glad you found one you like ... when I used openSuSE I usually installed Gnome and KDE but mainly used KDE. I found openSuSE would run Gnome and KDE on the same system provided I installed via Yast. Used from SuSE 8.1 to 10.3 ... but I did not really get on with 11.0 and stopped using openSuSE.
