Linux newbie finally bailing on MS - Hello!
Hi gang!
So after years of fixing virus-ridden machines, I'm putting my foot down. Enough MS foo. I must say it's refreshing. My christening will be to use Ubuntu run from the DVD drive to salvage files from a locked and trojaned Vista-inflicted machine. Uggh! Can't wait to do a clean install.
I hope to learn a lot here.
Wish me luck.

welcome to the forums. I refuse to even try to fix Windows systems anymore, especially since most of the people I know either let kids play with their computers, or fall for the fake antivirus programs.
