    LFS experience

    current build attempts: 12
    current build successes: 1



    i think the build faults were all to do with the host operating system however, as when i used the build CD for the bleeding [edge] LFS it worked perfectly.

    it gives you a real insight into how hard it must be to build your own distro

    you know the cd you can download from the site that's live? [its made by a 3rd party, cant remember the persons name]
    i just booted from that and it worked on the first play through
    except was hard at the time because i hadnt mastered the loadkeys command [i have a uk keyboard]

    The closest I've gotten to LFS is Gentoo, and much like another poster, my stats are as follows:

    Attempts: 15
    Successes: 2
    Keyboards ingested in a fit of frustration: .25 (Ok.. so it was a letter B..)
