Is this speaking or programming languages? I'm very confused. I voted for two speaking languages because I speak bits of French, Irish, Portugese and Spanish but not enough to be considered fluent so between them all they represent one language haha! In addition to English which is my first language of course.

Assuming you don't mean programming languages, I had to vote 1. I never was any good at picking up Human languages

Why are you people confused? No one can speak programming languages, neither can we write them down. If you write them in your notebooks, like me, then you are publicly known as a psycopath, like my friends call me. Ah, but their are other reasons for this title as well!

I voted 1, I don't really know any but English. Very small amounts of Latin and Spanish, and by small I mean basic words, structure, and inflection. I couldn't have a conversation at all ...

I voted four, but I doubted a bit about it. It depends on how you define 'speak' a language. I can get 'round in France with my limited French for holiday purposes, but holding some casual conversation beyond 'nice weather today' or 'I would like coffee with milk and sugar' is difficult.

    So, in this order:
    Dutch
    English
    German
    French

German and French I learned at High School, like most Dutch people. I try to keep them up. Do any of you speak languages other than your native tongue with friends? I tend to switch to other languages, just for fun (and the merit of practice).

Not a programming language, but I tend to do that with BASH. People think I'm crazy

    Finnish and English.

I also know some Swedish (All Finns must learn it) but not enough anymore to be able to communicate using it because I never realy used it outside the classes and it's allmost 3 years since I had last classes of it. (Migth still understand some when hearing others speak it)
Currently I'm learning Mandarin Chinese but I'm still at so very basics on it that couldn't count it either.

I voted 3 but I kinda regret it. I speak English and Gaeilge (Irish Gaelic). I studied French for 6 years at school so I could get buy and would be acclimatised within a few days. Honestly, it's really two.

A touch of german too, though nothing serious.

    Dare anyone read my list:

    English
    زبان اردو
    پنجابی
    فارسی
    اللغة العربية

    Русский язык

I add Hindi to the list because I can speak it and understand it (it is the same as Urdu), but cannot read it because it is written in the exotic Nagari script.

Add Hebrew scipt to compensate for this
