BOH, retro-flavoured game released for Linux

    Hi all,

this is Simone from Italy. I'm a videogames lover... I love them so much that I waste lots of time creating mine! My love for videogames was born when, as a child, I first looked at those shiny things that the C64 moved across the screen. Since then, to me computers have been like canvas for painters... I ended up creating several videogames and also lots of other wierd stuff - from developer libraries to virtual machines.
I came here specifically to present you my last game (and I have to thank techieMoe for welcoming me), which, I hope, will turn out to be a pleasant surprise to you.

The game - a commercial, indie production - is called BOH and has been released earlier this year for AmigaOS, MacOS and Windows. But the good news I'm bringing here is that in the last few days I ported it also to Linux.

BOH has a strong retro feel, as stated by the following introduction taken from the official website:

BOH is an original, retro-flavoured game of exploration and action.
You move in claustrophobic, traps-packed, mind-boggling battlefields searching for the Evil Masters, who throw countless enemies at you until you discover and face them in the final battle. Although your quests are made slightly less hard by the bonuses and power-ups scattered all around, carrying out the missions demands lots of concentration and quick reflexes.
With BOH the fun never ends: new missions can be added anytime and you can even create your own! And, as if that was not enough, you can also customize entirely its audio-visual aspect!
BOH has been created with lots of passion and care to offer, with its oldschool style, a fascinatingly different videogaming experience.

Plenty of information, screenshots, demos and lots of other material can be found on the official website at www bohthegame com (add dots or click on the www link of my profile - unfortunately, being new here, I'm not allowed to post links yet).

I'll be happy of answering any question you may have and I hope that this project, created with lots of passion - and a good share of madness - will warm your heart too!

    Moderator Edit:

Hi, saimo, and welcome to the forums!

After reviewing your games website, it is clear that you are here promoting a commercial product. Unfortunately, our forum rules do not allow advertising on the forums, except by those that have purchased advertising space.

When you were first allowed to post, it was thought that you'd be announcing the Linux version of your product, and that would be the end of it. However, you've returned and posted several other times about the product. We can't allow others to do this, and it is not fair to them to allow you to do it. For that reason, your additional posts have been deleted, and your thread locked.

Please refrain from making any further posts about your product but you are most welcome to contact the forum administrators about purchasing advertising space should you wish to advertise and promote your games here at LinuxForums.org.

Thank you for understanding our position on the matter, and best of luck with your games.
