My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

Haha. I want to know such a store.
Nobody does this to me anymore
although I would thank them gently for asking.

Haha, dude you should go to Hawaii. The policy there is to ask everyone under 42! Seriously I'm nearly 30 and I was pretty annoyed by the inconvenience. I was even turned away from bars. Me! An IRISHMAN! Not allowed to drink!
Haha. Congrats all the same. What made my day today was coming home to my new guitar. I got it last week but every time I look at it it's like seeing it for the first time, as I've wanted one for about 15 years. It's a Martin HD-28 and they don't come much nicer than that

I told her to look again and think very carefully if I really looked under 25 because if the answer was yes....
.... she was going to get a hug
From my limited understanding that is a nice guitar. I bet it sounds sweet! If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)

It makes my day (and annoys me sometimes) when my friend, who is in college and about to graduate with a degree having something to do with computers and computer management, texts me and asks me if I know the answers to his networking quiz.
He also texts me with questions about regular computer things as well, such as how to set up a bridge with a router, what kind of ram to buy, etc...
I mean come on, are they not teaching these kids anything anymore? I am self taught and having to answer their questions? WTF?

How about in terms of fail?
I was fixing bicycles today that hadn't been ridden since last fall. One had a presta valve and I had no pump adapter, so I went to the local bike shop and asked for one. We had a conversation that included me mentioning that I didn't even know if the tube was any good yet, but I was soon to find out.
Okay, back home, I placed on the adapter, hooked up the pump, and filled to about 20 psi, then checked the tire seating. The seating was good and the pressure held, so I proceeded to fill the tire to pressure. About 40 psi, BANG!
The tire had a small patch of rubber rot that couldn't handle the pressure. It let go, taking the tube with it. I was previously worried about the tube, but it turns out the tube was good, I should have checked the tire closer. The irony was not lost on me as I smiled and called out "FAIL!"

Oh, LOL! That makes my day! I'm sort of self taught too so far (except for my wonderful "mentor" but he's a newbie too. I just keep him around because he's so adorable, lol). I've learned so much just because there's really no more fear of totally destroying the universe if I type something wrong. There's always the CD to restore everything!
It makes my day to know that I can fiddle with Linux and even break it, but start all over again with no damage and no cost and almost no tech support!

I was kind of busy today (I just got back from laundry, 12:40AM local)Were you brave enough to buy a new tire from the same shop assistant though?
I very well may tomorrow, kind of depends on a bunch of other stuff (little low on the priority list).
