Is anyone familiar with the Scribd website?

A poster on a forum put up links to her prose on the Scribd website I clicked links but all I saw were the ads so I figured it must be because i do not have flash with Ubuntu.

I restarted in suse 10 and went back to Scribd and the same thing happened but i got a prompt to enable javascript. I checked the Seamonkey browser settings and javascript was enabled. I then tried the Firefox browser in suse 10 and I was able to see one work of prose and that was it.

This sort of thing has never happened to me before so I am wondering if it is the website or if I need something else besides javascript enabled?

It works here but the content seems to be Flash. You can install this in Ubuntu (among other things so it's quite a large download) by installing the package

    ubuntu-restricted extras

You can do this through Synaptic or from the terminal by using "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-retricted-extras" (without the quotes)

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

    Thank You Very Much Elija!!

I went to the synaptic package manager and downloaded. The msttcorefonts changed the fonts on all of my browsers the only improvement on the website is now I can see their toolbar but I can not see any poems.

I am going to give up because my old nerves can not deal with a lot of frustrations.
