Yep, Scotland is a beautiful place...
I too made the trip there a few years back and absolutely loved it. Post some more photos when you get a chance.

I remember in a past home I had a vew almost as nice. Then houses started growing in the field.
So I moved, to where there are lots more houses? I think my reality check just bounced.
Thanks for posting. Question: Do you know what that faint column of smoke or steam is that's rising in the right side background?

Attached is the view from my property in Xalapa, Mexico. The mountain is Orizaba, a dormant/extinct volcano which is the 2nd highest peak in North America - over 6,000 meters. I hope to build a house there some day. My sister's house is on the adjacent property. The fuzzy red thing in the picture is a rose in the foreground. I took this with a telephoto lens, so the mountain doesn't look quite so big in reality, but the view is quite spectacular!

Xalapa is about 1200 meters in altitude (4-5000 ft), but it's only a 40 minute drive to the coast and the waters of the Gulf of Mexico - white sand beaches, hammocks under the palm trees, coconut drinks, beautiful women with really skimpy bikinis...
