    Fun with Proxies

Well, I picked up a dark tip from Kevin Rose on G4TechTV about using proxies for your web surfing today, so I figured I'd play with it a bit. There's a Firefox Extension called SwitchProxy that allows you to connect to sites via proxies you enter or load from a website list, and you can cyle through them every XXX number of seconds. It's an interesting diversion for sure, but apparently it can cause weirdness in some forums like this one, since at the moment I'm shown as logged in 3 times. Oh well, just thought I'd throw that out there.

Oh, and I'd also like to apologize for any weirdness this causes the mods today (if it does). Rest assured I did not intend for this to happen.

/me beats techieMoe with the Proxy Stick.

That's for all the trouble you caused!

But not really...it didn't do anything that I'm aware of.

Well that's good to hear. I noticed while I was playing with it that every time I posted something I got logged in one more time.. so I imagine if I'd kept the proxy up all day I'd have been logged on several dozen times... Oh well. It was an interesting experience.
