CAn anyone tell me, If I were to be lucky enough to pass them, do they then need renewing every few years as with cisco qualifications ?

I supposed to do the RHCE this month, however when I called the 1800 number to sign up they told me I supposed to call a week prior to the exam. so they asked me to come back next month.
No you don't need to renew however if you get certfied on RH5 and RH6 gets released in the future you will be urged to update your knowledge "if required".
it is like you got certified on Windows 2000 and now you need to get certified on window 2008
