I have a new job and this week I have had so many new things thrown at me, Red Hat, VMware, Apache, MySQL, Blackberry, and Palm. I am a desktop support guy from a windows environment. I have so many questions, concerns and no one to ask for help, I am receiving no training, just a book on red hat that I bought at Barnes and Noble. Is there anyone out there that has the patience to answer my questions and help with a crash course in everything...

    Hello and welcome to Linux

It can be a daunting experience but just relax and take it one step at a time and you will start to pick things up quick enough. Any problems that you have just create a new thread for each so people who understand the area you are having problems in can find you

You should also have a quick read of Asking good questions to maximise your chances of getting a reply

As a work friend says: "We don't deal with problems here, just solutions"

There is one rule I follow when someone asks me a question and I don't know the answer. I tell them "I don't know but I'll find out and get back with you." Nothing wrong in that. Then, I Google for the best answer!
