Welcome to the forums!

Install it, experiment with it, and enjoy it. If you break it to where it can't be fixed, install again, or restore your backup. If you need more info, don't hesitate to start a new thread for each issue you are having in the proper forum.
Hope you will have fun with Linux.oz

Welcome. Most problems caused by playing with a distro can be repaired. Re-installing won't teach you much, but you can learn a lot by breaking and repairing your system.

Welcome to the forum.
I just joined this forum about 5 months ago and I have learned quite a lot since then. I used to be very dependent on a friend (linux guru) whose house I would get to go to now and then for help in every little problem I encounter with my linux distro. I haven't been to his house for months. He would help me in all my techie troubles by repairing my system. Through this forum however, I get to repair the system myself through the guidance of the other gurus. I learned as I solved. And most of all, I find the people in this forum friendly. They are very kind and are always ready to offer their help to those who are in need.
Enjoy your stay!

Hello Lakshmipathi,
May I ask for help where you got your debian-rock solid distro? I mean, would it be possible to post the site here so I can just click and download the version? I was able to download an ISO image and was not very impressed with the results. It is a debian-502-i386-kde-CD-1. I got it from the debian site but actually, I was not very sure of what I was downloading since the site offered a looonnngg list of choices. Parent directory etc etc etc blah blah blah
. I really want to learn debian also and make it a part of my system.
Currently, I have the following installed in my laptop. Fedora, SUSE, Mandriva, Mint, XP, and the non working debian. I heard that it is a very stable distro and I look forward to having it work.
Thank you in advance!
