Am I welcome?
Hey guys, just joining here. Not a real beginner with Linux but its been a couple years since I touched linux and so I am a little lost. Left at RedHat 9 and woke up to find FC11 so you may understand the confusion. Well its coming back bit by bit but I must say its kinda tough to get back my speed and comprehension I had 5 years ago. So if you head straight to the forums you will find a newbie sounding Samba question, well thats me with stars all over my heading and looking confused in there but I hope to get my server up and running shortly.

Howdy and Welcome. Not a rpm user so no help here. Good Luck with Fedora 11. Lots of other rpm users here to help, and are quite good I might add.

I haven't used rpm distros for 3 or 4 years, but welcome to the linux forums. I've found that I don't even understand Fedora anymore, since I haven't used Red Hat since 6.1.

I'm not an RPM user either, but hopefully someone that is will chime in with some help for you.
Look forward to seeing you on the forums.

After IBM sunk the public version of RedHat, I went looking for a new distro, preferably RPM. Long story short, I use SuSE primarily. Fedora Core was primitive when I made my choice, but has since evolved into something, well, words fail me, but it's good. I just don't have the incentive to change dsitros.
Some things still apply to both distros, but for the most part, FC is a different animal, so I don't know how much help I can really be. You ARE welcome here anyway. This is a place for Linux users to share and learn.
