    Hi!!

This is a fun place to learn about Linux and Ubuntu's own special flavor of it. I'm a newbie too and have learned a lot here in a pretty short time - and guess what! I even helped someone else! It feels really good - especially to a newbie like me - to be able to help someone else! Not that I have a lot of experience yet, and so far my own Ubuntu experience has been so flawless and perfect that I haven't really had any problems to solve. Still I've learned alot here just by reading and experimenting. Welcome!

Welcome. Like one of the other posts here said, I'm pretty new myself after using Windoze for years. Although I still have it on the system for a couple of things, I haven't booted into it since I installed Ubuntu. I look forward to the day I can delete it altogether. The group here has been nothing but very kind, friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor (in addition to checking in here often). Download the Ubuntu Pocket Guide and go through it. It will open your eyes.

    Again, welcome.

Welcome. It won't take too long till you're in a position to help others.
