    Fascinating. I just checked both my kernels (Crux and home-made Debian) and this option is not set on either of them. Something to see to!

    This is interesting, something I should remember. However, how often does someone work as root, to give any software the chance (not talking about deamons, which run as root, but are started on boot).

    The option has been enabled over here (running Ubuntu, meaning I'm safe).

    Once again a reason not to work from root I'd say!
