Guinness is 250 years old today....Hurray for Arthur J!
For those of you who didn't already know, Guinness is 250 years old today. It's kind of a big deal for us drunken paddys so I thought I'd share the news with you all. Guinness was first brewed in Leixlip, Co. Kildare in 1759 and shortly after moved to the James' St. Brewery. This was at one point the largest brewery in the world and I think today it's still one of the biggest in Europe.
Anyway, given the significance of 1759 we're all having a pint at 1759hrs tonight (that's 5.59pm IST/WEST for those of you who missed that
)
Remember your two-stage pour and no shamrocks in the head please, that's only for tourists

Being one that never passes up a chance/excuse to lift a tall one (when I have a hankering or chose to). I'm off to the store . Will raise one. two,three..... you get the idea. To celebrate yours and Guinness milestones.

In the spirit of the day that's in it -
It's an irish toast that means "May we seize life at this time again!", or more conventionally "May we see this time next year!".Go mbeirimíd beo ar an am seo arís!

Survived your Guinness birthday?
I've come to understand that the lease on the Guinness recepy (how ya say that/) lasts only less than 8750 years now, so better drink while it lasts
Can't tell an OS by it's GUI
