I thought so ..but google search didn't provide free pdf. Mostly points to rapidshare...but I haven't found one....have you know any other good linux programming book. I know Rebecca thomas "unix programmers guide" even that one is hard to get...I need some e-books for interview...

I got a few hits on the eDonkey network, might be worth a shot.
Are you sure it's not Richard Stevens? That name seems quite prolific in Unix programming documentation.

It's the 3rd most common P2P file share network after FastTracker (Kazaa) and Gnutella (Morpheus). All the common networks can be accessed in Linux with mlnet (which accepts bittorrents too) and one of its frontends (like MLDonkey).
ebooks are only some of the file types that are shared. You do have to watch out for the illegal files as they are often laced with malware or trackers, but as long as you enter the realm of fileshares with good faith and intentions, and only share your directories with legal files, you should have nothing to worry about.
