So...Migration of Website(s) Suck
Ok well i have been migrating my old server to my new server for the past couple days now and i must admit that i "personally" will never do this again (yeah i would rather spend money then do it myself next time). Do not get me wrong it was simple but it just takes Forever to get everything on the new system. i used the migration manager in the new system however it had errors in the beginning since one of the used IP address(s) got assigned wrong (gateway ip) got assigned as a regular usable ip and the traffic did not know where to go. (yeah first mess up)
then when the sites transferred intentionally it had errors could not transfer the emails or anything else so been having to do that myself using the SSH scp command (thanks to Dghouse on the forums) in telling me how to do that effectively.
It all started since my home computer was invaded by Malware and other crap and when i updated my sites it hurt the pages on the updated sites, then i had reformatted my computer that same night and when i got my system back online i had got 3 network violations that my sites were attacking other people's boxes. Then i had re-copied new files to the system and the sites were ok, but i forgot about like 10 other domains on the server and a few of them got infected as well so been trying to clean house on all websites i manage or own. (not fun). then got flagged (firefox browser wise) for 3 of the sites and been battling with getting them un-flagged. (so much fun being in the linux world).
So anyone else hate migration?
Matt
