Other than through routine surfing at some of the forums and distrowatch, I have a Google news alert set up that sends me messages when news about Linux come over the net. I'm a big fan of distrowatch.com.

I get Linux Journal and every now and then I learn something; but most of the time everything is way over my head!

I get news of all types from 1stHeadlines:

    Breaking News Headlines - 1stHeadlines

I like it because they do the headlines only and they keep them in a simple and easy to read format, and they don't post mounds of images on their pages.

I browse different forums like ubuntuforums.org, linuxforums.org, and linuxquestions.org. I also check a few websites that were already mentioned.
