Linux Funding question
Hey,
I'm a college student and one of our courses this semester is totally just about Linux. Right now we're using Ubuntu9, and i'm loving it so far. So my lecturer gave us a question to write a small essay on. How does Linux make money? If their different operating systems are free and most added features are as well, how do they make money in order to mantain and sustain the company itself?
Donators? Sponsors? Licensing some software? Anybody knows.. or is willing to help? I greatly appreciate it
