Hi Everybody,

Just dropped by to say hello. My motherboard replacement hasn't arrive yet and this is my second week of waiting. Although I can use my laptop on some basic things while I wait for the replacement, I can't use the LAN because it was also affected along with the other issue in the motherboard (vga).

Anyway, I just have to be contented with my xp, mint, & mandriva since the wireless works out of the box on these three. I can't do anything yet in my fedora, suse & debian partitions since I can't do any update without my cable . For me, it means I just have to be contented with doing some readings online re linux and temporarily stop my hands-on involvement.

I really miss active involvement in this forums. Since I joined, there are only TWO (2) sites that I visit when online, checking my mail and linuxforums.org. Oh yes, sometimes I also go to sites to download and read about other distros.

I've been pretty active in trying to help some friends in recovering data from their PCs that was downed by a virus and help reformat them using linux. My own small way of paying it forward to the linux community for the things i've learned for the past months.

I can't wait for my new motherboard. I want to learn some special things like "How to Install My XP inside Debian using VM" and many other things...but I guess I have to wait until my LAN works.

Thank you for listening!

Ciao!
