Treated myself

to a new mouse. The Logitech MX Revolution. It's rather large and feels good in the hand*

I didn't have to install any drivers and all five buttons just worked. If there is one thing that I could say against it. The scroll wheel is a bit to sensitive and thus things scroll just too damn quickly.

I guess I'll adapt though

* That's what she said!

Pretty nice mouse elija. Lots of neat functions I bet

My wife treated herself to a Acer 15.6" AS5534-1096 Laptop PC with AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core Processor & Windows 7 Home Premium
which she is happy with. So she sold me her Acer 10.1" Aspire One Netbook with Intel Atom N270 Processor, Windows XP & 3 Cell Battery
which is only a few months old for $150.00 (to make up for the Acer 15" Purchase). On the Aspire One I Spent all day cleaning up XP and updateing and making a new user on 40 gig Easy Peasy 1.0 dual boot partition I made back when she first [urchased it. She doesn;t want me to touch or dualboot Linux on her new 15" Windows 7 Acer Laptop though.

You can put Mint7 on a 1-4GB USB key (I did that on my mother's Acer, works great*). All the benefits of dual boot without spending the hard drive space or installing grub.

*I actually put it on a 4GB SD card, but it won't boot from the built in SD slot, has to be a USB reader.

Well, it has been nearly a day in use and this is the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. That includes the vertical mouse. Although it is quite expensive, it so far seems to be worth every penny.

What's a vertical mouse? Is it the sort that runs up clocks?

Hehe!

These take a little bit of getting used to

my last treat was a mini keyboard with integrated touchpad: Cherry g84-5500

I'm still adjusting to the keyboard, and some keys fell a bit sticky i guess...

But something unexpected happened:
since i have my hands always very close to the keys i now tend to use keyboard shortcuts much more

Speaking of mice, my favorite is the no-longer-made Logitech Trackman FX trackball. Fits right in the palm of the hand and all the buttons fall right under your fingers. I have a chronic wrist injury for over 40 years and mice cause me serious problems over time. Since I started using this device 5-10 years ago, my wrist problems have become much more tolerable, otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to play my mandolin.
