    Parted Magic moving to Arch Linux base?

    Lookes like one of my favorite "specialty distros" is looking to move from Slackware to Arch for its base.

    Interesting, they say they are doing it "so it has real package management", I wonder why. I've always thought PM was the bees knees any way. Is something missing from PM?

    It's true, I don't know why you would need real package management for a tool like PM. Perhaps it's more for the developer than the end product or end user.

    That's what I figured it was when I saw him asking about using Arch. I'd think a good package tool could save him lots of time on the development end.

    Giving it a little more thought, I suppose anyone wanting to remaster the ISO could make use of a good package tool as well.
