hmmm, some interesting stuff here. I agree with the OP to a certain extent, but all I can say is "be patient". and Google is your friend.

For me, often (but not always) the biggest problem that I face, is the way the documentation is organized. Quite often, it is not task oriented, it is organized according to the features of the program. So I more or less know what I want to do, but it takes too long to find the appropriate features.

As often as not, I find the answer through some creative googling, rather than reading the documentation provided by the vendor.
