    Hey, my name is JJ and I converted from windows to ubuntu linux a couple of months ago. So far, I like it. I'm a student from CA and with a new interest in home automation and related projects as a hobby.

    I don't know a whole lot about linux. So, i join forums like this to ask stupid questions like "how come error code 1 comes up even after changing permissions on the file" or "how come this conf file looks so much different in ubuntu"

    Interesting fact: main computer is a Dell from year 2000.
