Hi, I'm Dan and I'm a windows user. But I haven't used Windows in... well I'm using it right now... darn linux won't install for me (looking for help in the RedHat forum)

Anyway, I figured an intro thread would be appropriate.

Are you up and running now? If having problems try something really easy to install (usually) like Xandros or Mepis.

Not yet, I'm looking for local help from the EECS Dept here. I might end up just dedicating some of my internal hard drive to linux to boot from and take care of it that way.

If you are looking for local help one of the best places to look is if there is a LUG (Linux Users Group) near you. I know my local LUG was invaluble when I first started.
