    don't buy HP!!!

I have a Photosmart C4400 series that I recently bought. The model name is C4480. I've used the wireless version at work. Real piece of crap.

I just thought it might be a bad apple. But, the one I bought which doesn't have wireless is no better. The scanning alignment test FAILS over and over. Everything I've tried doesn't work. It only prints when you don't have much paper in it. This has to be one of the worse designs ever. HP has really fallen.

I will NEVER NEVER buy another HP product again. If I buy another inkjet, it will be Canon. Canon has some Linux support, right? If laser, I'll buy Samsung.

HP over prices their products anyway. I don't care about their Linux support because their products are garbage.

I don't think there is any solution for this issue since I think it's defective or just horrible design. Whatever it is, it is junk and we all know their laptops are junk. I just don't want them to benefit from this and from unknowing customers buying their junk.

    Thanks for reading.

Shouldn't this thread be moved to Coffe Lounge? Btw, I work with HP laptop at work (installed Ubuntu) and use HP printers. Faced no problem till.

I don't see why. It was a legitimate complaint about a printer.

    But, whatever.

Your complaints about the printer are legitimate, and we all hope you either find a way to resolve them in the future or buy another brand that works better for you. I don't see discussions like this going anywhere positive, so I'm locking the thread.

On a personal note, I know quite a few people who are happy owners of Hewlett-Packard products, so a broad generalization that everything they make is "junk" seems a bit short-sighted. If you have a specific issue you want to try and get resolved with this printer, please post in an appropriate section of the forum and we'll do our best to help.
