Hi,
Nice OS! I have been running Windows for the last decade, and decided that if I have to do a total reinstall for 7, I will go with something more scalable! I have run Linux back in teh day, did the 5 disk slack install many years ago. Things have changed a lot from that time!!
So far I am liking Linux, much faster than Windows, but alas, getting used to a new OS is hell!
I had everything just right, then installed Webmin, and Apt died... I posted a request for help in teh New Linux user area, but so far no answers...
Thanks for the welcome!!

Wow, nice! I had no idea the thrift stores were doing that! I may suggest that to them down here... I take it you are in Oregon?

I once installed Webmin in a Ubuntu-server. It botched the LDAP install and I found myself unable to log into the system. I abandoned it for more traditional remote access tools (via ssh) (though I did use SWAT for samba).
Good luck getting it all running. Welcome to LFO.

Hi, Outcast... I'm not sure I understand what you are saying, but if you have replied to the OP's Linux issue, the posts were probably moved to his other thread that is directly related to the problem.
Edit: just took a look and it appears that the post(s) you are referring to are indeed in the other thread.Last edited by oz; 12-13-2009 at 03:50 PM.
