    WOW!

Me? Just enough knowledge to download , burn, & install several major distros (only with GUIs), make flash & wireless work. (With the help of this forums) Still trying to understand Arch up to now...

So therefore, with all modesty, I rate myself just an itsy bitsy higher than total Cluelessnes. But Clueless just the same.

beginner, here. I have been installing linux on co workers machines now, just done my 8th one, they all think im really good, but i just do the install with live cd's ( a monkey could do that ) this year, I plan on jumping into the command line more...it's just that the gui in mint makes being lazy so easy.

I sure wouldn't mind knowing who among us voted "Total Guru". Sounds like a bad@ss. I voted Intermediate, just because I feel that there is way too many things about Linux that I have no knowledge of....but I also feel I have a fairly good grasp on most things discussed here on these forums, excluding a few places like Linux kernel,,,Programming and scripting....I leave those to the fellows that know that stuff.

I'm not sure about the value of this. I chose intermediate but I notice that the same choice was made by a number of people whom I regard as much more advanced than I am. Obviously they don't want to call themselves "advanced" because it sounds boastful. So I think you'll find that most people choose intermediate regardless of their actual level.

This is really subjective to your views. The person who voted Guru is most likely someone who knows his base distro inside out. In my view that would make him a guru as most of what he knows can be transferred to other distros.

Hazel, there wasn't meant to be any highly accurate value in it, as it was not intended to be a scientific poll, but meant to be just for fun. No voter should have to worry about sounding boastful if they choose to remain anonymous. I'd agree that many voters will likely take the middle road and claim intermediate, especially those that choose to reveal how they voted.

Intermediate. I can usually fix any problem I have in Linux until it starts getting stubborn or until the hardware burns out. I'll go to the forums when I'm at my breaking point and about to implant a fist-sized hole in the screen.

    Hi all,
marked myself as a beginner. I don't do enough with the cli and Mint is so easy and wellmade that it's very rare that one encounters problems. The few I had I was able to solve myself.
