Years ago, I made the resolution to stop making new year resolutions and I am proud to report, I have made no new year resolutions since then!
How about you? You gonna stop smoking? Spend more time with Family?

I don't make resolutions, but this year the wife and I had already set a goal for the coming year, so I guess you could call it a "resolution." We've set a goal to pay off all our credit card debt by August of 2010. It helps that my car will be paid off in May and we're getting a tax credit this year from our new house. Once that's done the only remaining debt we have (aside from our house) is my student loans and my wife's vehicle. We're excited at the prospect of living with less debt, and we've committed ourselves to not buy large items in the future without saving up for them first.

No, I've never been in the habit of making new year resolutions so don't have any plans to make any this year either, but I do hope any resolutions work out well for those that do make them.

Best of luck to you all with your resolutions!

It is not a resolution but I am hoping that I can lose some of my " computer belly " that has amassed because of my constantly being seated on-line with my computer!

I have a feeling no one wants to admit to making resolutions........probably the way I worded my original post.
I'll make a new resolution just to kick things off,,,I resolve to get more involved in LFO in 2010!

EDIT: I'll make another resolution just for the heck of it. I resolve to get drunk tonight and set off all my remaining fireworks!

lol... take care not to hurt yourself with those fireworks, Mike, especially if you should become extra wobbly!

Regarding getting drunk, I don't drink alcoholic beverages at all, so I have to face the end of each year and the beginning of each new year in a sober state. Of course, that means no hangovers, but it's really not so bad once you get used to it...

Here's to hoping that all of our members made it into the new year without too many problems!

Our neighborhood does fireworks big twice a year (New Year's and July 4th), so we generally end up sitting out on our driveway and watching all the sparklies.

As for alcohol, I don't drink either so we usually pop open a couple of bottles of Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider and ring in the new year with a sugar rush.

Yeah, that's exactly what we had. I even finished off an opened bottle with breakfast this morning.

Back when I was an irresponsible youngster, I had firecrackers go off in my hand on several different occasions, and OUCH... that's no fun! I was lucky not to lose a finger or two.

Glad that didn't happen to you.
