    Vacation and snow days

Christmas vacations are always great...being a teacher...I get those days...but the snow storm in the mid atlantic states....gave me a few extra days of vacation... you know..."snow days"....although the only thing I dislike is that they will be added to the end of the year...oh well....

It all comes down to personal preference and expectations, but I've always found linux to be equally frustrating on older hardware as Win XP. I've never been satisfied with bare bones distros as I always needed/wanted more and I've always been able to dump enough needless processes in Win XP to make it responsive on whatever crappy system I was installing it on.
    Aloof linux user #whatever.

I tested off the charts for MENSA. Unfortunately, it was off the wrong end of the chart.

    Same here !
My search of perfect Linux distro isn't ended yet coz of this only "I always needed/wanted more...". I have found lot of new things and learned a lot on the way... Great journey so far. Still searching.............

If you know what you are doing, you can make Windows XP work on crappy systems.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
