Does everyone here know about hoax-slayer?
I just received a terrified email from an old friend about two supposed viruses which can apparently crash your computer and fry your hard drive. One is attached to false news about Osama bin Laden being hanged (we should be so lucky!), and the other carries a picture of the Olympic torch. To judge by the headers, this particular warning had been in circulation for some time before my friend got hold of it, and of course he sent it to all his friends.
It obviously stank, so I went to hoax-slayer to look for it and found it at once. Then I answered him, explaining that it was a hoax and sent a copy of my answer to all the people on his list, several of whom were mutual friends.
Please do not blindly pass on warnings of this kind. Always check with hoax-slayer first."I'm just a little old lady; don't try to dazzle me with jargon!"

Good old fashioned wetware viruses. Causes an error between seat and keyboard!
