Linux questions asked in my Interview
Hello Everyone,
This is austin here. I'm trying to get into a linux admin job. Never had real-time experience. Just done my RHCE. Got a vague idea of real-time approach. Addressing interviews. First interview doomed. Here are the questions I've been asked for an Internet Systems Unix Engineer! They asked few questions where it said: walk through the process.
Holding the phone, I was walking here and there, but nothing was walking in my mind to answer them. Please help me answer them, so that I can be prepared for the next one & improve my knowledge. I might ask silly questions.please excuse me..
1. Walk through the process of creating a .com site?
A.
2. What is a File-Descriptor used for?
A.
3. How do you recompile a kernel, walk through the process?
A.
4. Difference between scp and rsynch?
A.
5. What does a mod_ssl used for?
A.
6. What are the advantages of virtual web server?
A.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums!

coopstah13 is right... and if you'll google "linux interview questions" you'll find the answers to many other common questions asked by interviewers that might come in handy in one or more of your interviews.
Best of luck with the job hunt.oz
