Greetings to all
See how good I can follow instructions? Welcome email suggests I introduce myself, so gladly will.
Name is Richard and I am just starting to understand who things work on a Linux server. It's wondrous to me in a very nice way to see how I can do things with the server via putty and enter commands like way back when in DOS. I know it's not the same, just brings back memories.
Anyway, I am not a programmer, and I don't have the first clue about how the inner workings of a server function so I am hoping I can learn from you guys. Hints, tricks are greatly appreciated and shortcuts are welcome although I should probably not worry about shortcuts so I can fully appreciate and learn how things work on the system.
Other than that, greetings from Toronto, Canada and hope you are having a good weekend.
Cheers,
Richard
