TV people that you really really hate

What has become of CNN? Tabloid journalism! Pandering to people's base instincts. Damn, a family member has acquired a taste for Nancy Grace and Jane Velez Mitchell. Those two make me wanna puke, with their obnoxious attitudes and contrived outrage. There are a couple of guys that are doing this kind of pseudo news desk thing also. Damn, it must be tough for them to look in the mirror.

All television news is awful. If you can even define it as news anymore. Fox is probably the worst of them when it comes to sacrificing facts and integrity on the altar of sensationalism and ratings, but all the networks are guilty of it. News is paid for by advertising, and ads require ratings, and good, honest reporting doesn't pull in the ratings.

Sadly, people don't watch the news to learn something, but choose news that reinforces their own biases and beliefs.

Well, I wouldn't say all, but yeah, a lot of it is just like you say. Fox has always been that way. CNN used to be ok, but it has really gone downhill in the last few years. I get most of my news frm the Net now, Google news suits me just fine. For TV, BBC world news is a bright spot. The local 6 O'clock news here in Toronto is not too bad.

I really hated the way CNN handled the earthquake. Sure it's important to get the message out, but CNN went overboard, their coverage began to look like some grotesque reality show featuring Anderson Cooper. If I was a Haitian in that predicament, I would not be the least bit happy to see all these cameras in my face all day long.

My point exactly. BBC World News is funded by government grants. They do not have to cater to advertisers or corporate overlords.

Well, I suppose , but unfortunately one could hardly say the same about the CBC news here in Canada. CBC is also government funded to a large extent, but the news is politically very biased, quite left of center and good at drumming up controversy.

I prefer to get my news from DAILY ROTATION. Any time I watch the news on TV I just want to punch someone in the face.

My washing machine needs to be fixed; so I took a bus to the launderamat! While I waited for the dryer to do its work I glanced every now and the to the TV screen over the dryer.

I do not know what the woman's name is or the show she was on around 10 to 11AM but in a short period of time I got to hate her catty remarks, her bad attitude, her snide voice, and her facial expressions.

She had her baby on the show last Thursday; and I thought to myself " she just has to be living with a mouse of a man ( or someone deaf ) that will put up with her!!
