    Kernel Panic! Me Panic!

    Hi!

I was on my way to continue working on the wireless of my newly installed CentOS just to find out that it would not boot though it shows in the grub menu. Something about a kernel panic? I don't remember doing anything to make it "panic". If I reinstall it, I would have to reinstall my Mint afterwards since Mint controls the grub. CentOS like Fedora, I found out does not detect other linux systems. (shame ).

Anyway, just wanted to share and if someone has some suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

You do not have to re-install Mint "since Mint controls the grub." Unless you format the MBR. You would just need to edit grub.conf or menu.lst within Mint.
You would also do better to install a Distro other than CentOs for wireless support.

    Hello MikeTbob!

    Code:

Ooohhh...That's good. However, my problem is that when I install CentOS (or Fedora), I notice that it does not read any other Linux partitions but only the XP so I don't know how to go to Mint from there

    Thanks !

Any LiveCD will work and allow you to edit grub. Whe you get ready, just let us know, we can walk you through it.
