Regarding The IT Crowd...
Ok, seeing as how each episode is only 23 minutes without commercials, I managed to watch a few episodes of this last night and must admit that it's a good one. As such, I've started a thread about The IT Crowd here:

Thanks for the suggestion, meton_magis!

For any of you that might be interested in owning the Firefly series, you can get the Blu-ray version at Amazon right now for under $28 plus free shipping, but this deal won't last long at that price:
Amazon.com: Firefly: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]: Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam
The DVD version is currently available for $4 less, but I doubt that it will stay that cheap for long either:
Amazon.com: Firefly - The Complete Series: Nathan Fillion, Ginaoz

I read through quite a few of the reviews on amazon. I've allready seen firefly / serenity, and loved every episode, but wanted to see the blu-ray review. Quite a few people commented that if you have the DVD's, getting the blu-rays just isn't worth it. they say that the show wasn't made for high def, so there isn't much of an improvement over the DVDs. If you don't have the DVD's, may as well get the blu-ray for only 4$ more though.

Right... the only problem with buying the DVD version from Amazon is that you have to spend another dollar or two on something to qualify for the free shipping offer, whereas the Blue-ray version is just over the $25 limit so it already qualifies for free shipping. Both deals appear to be a pretty good bargain for true fans that want to own the complete series.
I personally went for the Blu-ray set.oz

AH, didn't even think about the free shipping. an odd case where paying more for something means you end up paying less.
I'd recommend anyone who does not have the dvds already buy the bluray, I just wouldn't go out and buy them for the upgrade if you allready have the dvds. The comments made it seem unjustified.
then again, I wouldn't mind paying twice for firefly, it was a great series.New to the internet, technical forums, or the hacker / open source community??
